The project has been highlighted in several publications, including WTW International’s feature, 2015 PROPERTY MARKET and other international ID magazines like id iNDESIGN and ASIADESIGN.
In its report, CH Williams, Talhar & Wong note that Taman Putra Pogun is one of the few significant landed residential projects in an established prime location within 10km of KK city.

Docomo envisioned to build with commitment and passion for its home owners.
Sacrificing 10-units housing to tackle flood prone area
Docomo sacrificed the profit of building and selling approximately 10 units of terrace houses (land size of 2,043.6m2 or 0.5 acre) in order to develop a 393m length x 5.2m width x 4.72m depth monsoon drain inside the development at its own cost.
This RM3.1 million monsoon drain construction is constructed in line with our local government’s blueprint of flood mitigation and drainage upgrading plan.
The land losses due to this particular works is approximately at Gross Development Value of approximately RM 6,800,000.00 excluding the construction of RM3,100,000 as mentioned above.
Flood free
With the commitment to build a sustainable home for Docomo’s home buyers, the sacrifice of profit and contribution of extra financial and work done in constructing the monsoon drain is to ensure the Taman is flood free. This is to mitigate and upgrade the drainage system in the whole Kibabaig, Sabah area, which was previously known to be prone to flood.
This extra effort by Docomo had definitely affected the Taman, by which the Taman was flood free even during monsoon season and floods around its vicinity areas.
Costs borne entirely by Docomo
This out of pocket cost borne by Docomo is one of the best form of CSR in contributing not only to TPP’s home owners but also to the local community.
Facilities to encourage healthy lifestyle among community
The development of Taman Putra Pogun was not only to build houses, but comfortable homes and Taman, as well as encourage community living. In order to achieve this, Docomo not only build playgrounds and jogging track within the Taman, but also built a wider road access compared to other developments.
Besides that, a security guard station was built at the expense of Docomo as a gift to the people of the whole Taman for their future convenience and security.
House owner manual
For the convenience of Docomo’s house hold communities in carrying out any future maintenance or renovation of their investment, Docomo took the initiative to produce a comprehensive “House Owner Manual” for all.
This manual covers all building and floor plans, building materials, building specifications, suppliers/contractors and all other relevant information of the house for their reference.
